Gardening, or how to fight a tree

For my 2 weeks off from work, I could have done a bunch of fun stuff and hung out at the beach. Instead, I spent that time battling my garden. Technically I could have been done with it in 1 or 2 days, but what do you know ... trash pickup was also on holiday due to Nyepi and/or Ramadan, and there's only so much trash I'm willing to have in front of my house.
